Support, Training, & Employability for Ex-services Recruitment
Supporting ex-service personnel to a better future, by realising their potential at their own pace
STEER is a Mark Wright Project Initiative
What is STEER?
STEER is a person-centred, tailored programme – to support and enable each individual in making informed choices about their future at their own pace.
STEER aims to increase ex-service personnel’s overall potential for voluntary work, employment, or self-employment.
STEER works in partnership with...
The Thistle Foundation who provides a Lifestyle Management Programme for ex-service personnel
Synergy Training - an Edinburgh based training consultancy with connections with a broad range of employers
Work Placement Host Organisations
Ex service personnel have a wide range of experiences and skills that they can bring to any workplace. However some can find the return to civilian life difficult particularly when seeking sustainable and suitable employment. Host organisations and businesses can support STEER by providing work placement/experience opportunities which help in developing important employability skills as well as vocational skills and job specific knowledge.
