Our Objectives   

 The Mark Wright Project Drop-In Centre will achieve its aims through the following activities:

• Promote and provide social, gym and adventure sport activities to improve the health wellbeing of ex service men and women, and those suffering from post combat/conflict trauma and stress

• Promote and provide opportunities and funding for ex service men and women suffering from post combat/conflict trauma and stress to participate in organised specialised adventure recreation activities such as mountain biking, hill walking and other outdoor recreational activities

• Raise awareness and understanding of post combat/conflict stress and trauma through the provision of education material and information on the associated symptoms, such as Drug use and addiction, Alcohol use and addiction, Anger Management issues, Relationship problems, Anxiety, Stress, and Depression

• Provide advice and support to men and women in identifying, and suffering from, combat/conflict trauma and stress through trained and informed staff

• Provide information on, and provide financial assistance to enable access to, specialist counselling/ psychotherapy services for men and women suffering from post combat/conflict trauma and stress or association symptoms

• Provide information on, and assistance in accessing specialist support agencies in the areas of Drug and Alcohol addictions issues, Depressions, Anxiety, PTSD, and other associated issues, and Counselling services

• Develop services through the development of partnership and collaborative practices with specialist/professional service providers and agencies

• Develop and provide a specialised bereavement and loss ‘self-help’ advice, and electronic (Web-based) support network run by and for parents/families of a son/daughter wounded or killed whilst in military service conflict/combat

• Develop and provide information on, and access to bereavement counselling services for parents/families of son/daughter killed whilst in military service conflict/combat
